Ego death

Ego death is not mere dissolution of one’s sense of self, but dissolution of boundaries between concepts within one’s framework, allowing you to view the world as fluid; pure noise. This is the hippie cliche of unity, of “being one with nature/the world/Earth/the universe.” If it were simply the death of the ego, ‘you’ wouldn’t be part of ’everything’, as ’things’ have boundaries that wouldn’t include ‘you’.

Ego death demonstrates the fuzzy, socially constructed boundaries of all objects & concepts, and strict hierarchical arborescent ontologies are inaccurate representations of reality due to edge cases.
